We live this life following core beliefs. These stem from our disparate upbringings, personalities and experiences. Keeping in mind also that we are the "The Melting Pot" nation, we are therefore bound to have varying opinions on various issues. But must this too become an issue?
Unfortunately, it often seems that rather than pursuing our own happiness, we find ourselves guilty of trying to inflict our values on to others. We grow impatient or angry with people who won’t conform to our vision of the “right way to be." We label and stereotype based on skin color, religious practices, gender, sexual orientation, etc. We align ourselves with larger groups of like-minded people with similar circumstances, and then find ourselves at odds with other larger groups. We have been manipulated into becoming a culture that thrives on scapegoating and distrust. So ultimately we disassociate with each other. Enough.
We, the next generation, are coming together here asking, "Where is the Love?"
